On Sunday 5 May 2019 three staff in the Belfast office of Charles White Ltd, Phil, Alan and Andrew accompanied by two others between them, ran the Belfast marathon. They raised a staggering amount over £3,000 for the Belfast Children’s Cancer Unit.
In September 2017 the daughter of one of the team members, who at the time was only three months old, was diagnosed with a very rare pulmonary soft tissue cancer. Following many courses of chemotherapy and an operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital, she is currently taking part in a drug trial through the Royal Marsden Hospital. Its been a very difficult time but in spite of her treatment she is keeping very well and enjoying life in all it glory.
The care received from all three hospitals has been tremendous. The compassion and support the family have received has been outstanding and they wanted to give something back for the benefit of others in the future. A massive thank you to all who sponsored the team.
