Edwin Backler

Born in Bangor, Northern Ireland, Edwin graduated from the University of Dundee with a degree in Electronic Engineering in 1990.

Edwin then worked with British Gas where he qualified as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Following that he spent 7 years with oil services giant Schlumberger working in Aberdeen, West Africa and Venezuela.

Edwin acquired Charles White in early 2001 and has overseen its growth since then.

In August 2003 a Glasgow office was opened to service the West of Scotland and in October 2003 the substantial Edinburgh-based Safe Hands Property Management business was acquired.
