New Contracts Mean Busy Summer for Property Manager
NEW CONTRACTS MEAN BUSY SUMMER FOR PROPERTY MANAGER
The warmest season of the year is finally here, and as thousands of Scots prepare to relax and enjoy the good weather, property management company Charles White Ltd is gearing up for one of its busiest summers yet.
The Edinburgh-based company – a leader in its field – faces a busier season than many of its industry competitors as the number of developments in its property management portfolio soars.
A record year is anticipated as more and more developers and property owners realise the immense benefits of calling in the professionals to expertly manage communal areas. Indeed some of the UK’s leading developers, including George Wimpey, Miller and Barratt, have called on Charles White to look after some of their most exciting and ambitious new developments.
Just recently the company announced that it had won a further 20 lucrative property development contracts spanning the length and breadth of Scotland, from Glasgow and Edinburgh to both picturesque and highly sought-after locations including Gullane and Linlithgow.
These latest contract wins have added a massive 1,398 new units to Charles White’s remit, and are testament to the fact that more and more people are realising how invaluable a property management service can be.
Edwin Backler, managing director of Charles White, said: “Traditionally, obligation to manage property lies with homeowners – but this, of course, is often completely impractical.
“In today’s society people lead busy lives, and work long and often unsociable hours. They want to come home to relax, so expecting them to organise full-scale maintenance programmes in partnership with their neighbours is, frankly, unrealistic.
“Simply co-ordinating work like this can be a massive task in itself, especially in a large development or one with a large number of residents.
“That is where we come in to provide a one-stop-shop for our clients, who range from residents’ associations to large-scale developers. We become their single point of contact, eliminating confusion about who to contact in a crisis.
“We take care of essential yet time-consuming tasks such as maintenance, repairs, cleaning of common areas, making regular inspections, administering and collecting charges as appropriate, and much more.”
Charles White has recently added several waterside developments to its portfolio – such properties are becoming increasingly popular as more people try to combine the hustle and bustle of city living with the tranquil escapism of life by the sea.
The company recently won a contract to property manage the stylish Harbour Green in the north of Edinburgh. The George Wimpey development forms part of the rejuvenation of the waterfront at Granton which is undergoing a massive transformation to offer a variety of residential, leisure and business opportunities.
The sizeable development consists of 102 high class properties with up to five bedrooms and boasts townhouses as well as flats and penthouses, and the area offers a range of shops, restaurants and bars with the popular Ocean Terminal Shopping Complex nearby.
Also amongst the new wins is another luxury waterside development at Granton - the prestigious Corinthian Quay. This stunning waterside development by Elphinstone Homes sits right on the quayside with uninterrupted views of the Forth, and each of its 91 apartments boasts a balcony or terrace and a sea view.
Mr Backler added: “These are just a few of the high-class developments which Charles White now manages, and they are testament to the quality service which we provide.
“We are entrusted to look after luxury developments such as these because people know that by choosing Charles White, they will receive the highest possible standards of care and attention.
“As well as removing the hassle of organising and carrying out time-consuming work, our services can help retain or even increase property value because we keep everything as good as new.”
